HISTORY

International Intelligence on Culture adopted its name at the end of 2000 and builds on and develops the work of The International Arts Bureau, established in 1994 under the direction of Rod Fisher. The Bureau was created as a direct result of the Arts Council of Great Britain’s out-sourcing of its in-house International Affairs Unit.

The change of name reflects more accurately the nature of the company’s cultural interests and the greater emphasis it is giving to policy intelligence and monitoring, research, consultancy and project management. International Intelligence on Culture continues to provide Arts Council England with international policy intelligence and to run a free enquiry service on its behalf.
